Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs:
A Maricopa County Needs Assessment and Implications for Policy and Systems Changes
Saguaro Evaluation Group through funding from the Maricopa Department of Public Health and Arizona Department of Health Services performed a needs assessment regarding children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) in Maricopa County in June 2013. Needs assessment findings and recommendations from the eight focus groups with parents/caregivers (English and Spanish), CYSHCN youth, and providers as well as the online surveys were complied in a comprehensive report.
Community Listening Sessions
SEG evaluators worked with community partners and MCDPH to disseminate the major needs assessment findings to the general public and providers across Maricopa County.
