SEG provided the "Evaluation of Youth Health Programs Workshop" in Nogales, Mexico on December 2018
During this four-hours workshop Dr. Monica Parsai and Dr. Maria Hilda Garcia discussed the importance of using Evidence Based programs, the process of cultural adaptation of a program and the benefits of evaluating programs. The 31 attendees represented a variety of disciplines and organizations (medical doctors and nurses, school teachers, university students, the Secretary of Health in Mexico, and a number of non-profits from both sides of Nogales - United States and Mexico). We extend our thank you to the attendees as well as to the Colegio de la Frontera Norte (COLEF - College of the North Border), Arizona State University, El Colegio Binacional de Salud (The College of Binational Health), La Fundacion del Empresariado de Sonora (FESAC - The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Sonora) and El Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores de Sonora (The Institute of Safety and Social Services for Workers in Sonora) that made possible this workshop.
